Hertfordshire LINk have been contacted by Diana Davis, a Programme Tutor for the BSc(Hons) Physiotheraphy programme at the University of Hertfordshire. If you are interested in being a service user representative, please see her email below:
As the Programme Tutor for the BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy programme at the University of Hertfordshire, I am seeking Service User representation on our Programme Committee which meets x2 per academic year - The Programme Committee forms part of the quality assurance mechanism for our programme and it is important that the views of those ultimately receiving care from our students and graduates have input into the management and development of the programme. We are looking for at least 2 representatives (max 4) who have experience of the services physiotherapists’ can provide and preferably different fields of speciality. As you are aware, physiotherapists have a broad remit within health and social care provision and therefore as wide a representation as possible who be ideal. I am afraid these are not paid positions but I will certainly explore the possibility of travelling expenses for attendance at the meetings.
The meetings for the 2011-12 academic year scheduled for 2pm Wednesday 26th October 2011 and April 18th 2012. If you require any further information relating to this role, including the Terms of Reference for this committee, please do not hesitate to contact me on d.davis@herts.ac.uk.
