Chantal and Nuray attended “What’s happening at the HUB” at the Kids East HUB on 19th May. It was well attended with 100 attendees and 32 organisations. This provided the opportunity for parents to speak to service providers and find out more information about what is on offer.

The day provided an opportunity to network which we hope will lead in to strong partnerships in the future. This event provided Hertfordshire LINk with the opportunity to listen to presentations from health and social care related organisations. One of these organisations was Herts Parent Carers Involvement who are a parent carer led organisation which represents the views and experiences of families, to influence the improvement of services for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (and their families) in Hertfordshire. Hertfordshire LINk and Herts Parent Carers Involvement will be working in Partnership in the future.

A competition was held on the day for all those joining as members. 5 organisational and 5 individual members joined Hertfordshire LINk. Tracey Shepherd of Ware was one individual member whose name was pulled out of the hat. She chose a Dr USB as her prize.
